01Who we are

SacredAstra, a business in British Columbia, Canada, makes Your Astrology Blueprint and is responsible for the personal details described on this page. Its owner is the person in charge of protecting personal information at SacredAstra, and answers any privacy question or request at hello@sacredastra.com.

02What we collect

To make your Blueprint we ask for:

• the name for the cover
• your email address
• your date of birth, and the time of birth or the part of the day you were born
• your place of birth, with its map position and time zone
• the focus areas you choose and any note you write

If the Blueprint is a gift, we also ask for your own name. The birth details are theirs, so please share them only with their agreement.

If you join the waitlist, we keep your email address and nothing else.

If you write to us through the contact page, or email us at hello@sacredastra.com, we receive your name if you give it, your email address and your message. The site keeps none of it: the message goes to our inbox.

The free tools, the Saturn return calculator, the sky today and the birth sky map, work out their answer from what you enter and keep none of it. A birthplace typed into the birth sky map is looked up the same way as on the order form.

Your card details go to Stripe and never reach us. Stripe only tells us that the payment went through.

03How we use it

We calculate your chart, draft your Blueprint, check it against your chart, and send it to your email as a PDF once a person has approved it. Your note and focus areas are used only to shape your reading.

We email you about your order: a confirmation when you pay, and your Blueprint when it is ready. If you join the waitlist, we write to you once, when the next opening begins, and then take your address off the list. We send no marketing emails.

There are no accounts and no subscriptions. Each Blueprint is a single purchase, and nothing is ever charged again.

04Who helps us

Nothing is sold. Your details go only to the services that make your Blueprint possible, and each receives only what its part needs. Stripe, Resend, Railway and the writing-assistance provider handle them for us under their service terms with us. Open-Meteo is a free public service we have no agreement with, which is why it is only ever sent a place name.

• Stripe, for payment: your email address and your payment details.
• Resend, for email: your email address, your name, and the emails we send you, your Blueprint included, and any message you send us through the contact page or to our email address, which it receives and delivers to our inbox.
• Railway, for hosting and our database: everything listed on this page is stored on its servers.
• Open-Meteo, for finding your birthplace: the place name you type while you search. The search runs through our server, so Open-Meteo sees our address and never yours, and it is told nothing else about you.
• A writing-assistance provider that prepares the first draft of your reading: your first name, the positions and dates worked out from your birth details, and your note and focus areas. Never your email address or payment details. Every draft is then checked against your chart by our editorial review and personally reviewed before it reaches you.

05Where it is kept

Some of these services are based in the United States, so your details may be stored and processed outside British Columbia and Canada, where the law may protect them differently.

06Your rights, and deletion

Write to us from the address you ordered with, and we delete your name, email address, birth details, note, focus areas, Blueprint and its PDF, and any waitlist entry. They are deleted, not archived. You can also ask to see what we hold about you, or to have it corrected.

A few things stay. We keep a record that an order was made, with its date and payment reference but without your name, email or birth details, because tax law requires it. Stripe keeps its own record of your payment, including your email address, under its own policy. Our email provider keeps its own logs of the emails it delivered to you, under its own policy.

In Canada these are your rights under British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act and the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, and in the European Union and the United Kingdom under the GDPR. We give them to everyone, wherever you live, and answer within 30 days. If our answer does not satisfy you, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia, or the privacy authority where you live.

07How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires.

Your birth details, note and Blueprint are kept after delivery so we can correct or resend your Blueprint if you ask, until you ask us to delete them. The same goes for an order that was started but not paid for.

A waitlist address is kept until we send the one email we promised, or until you ask us to remove it.

A message from the contact page or to our email address is kept in our inbox for as long as we need it to help you, and deleted when you ask. Resend keeps the email it received for us under its own policy.

Visit counts are kept for up to 25 months.

08Cookies and visits

The site sets no cookies for visitors and uses no advertising trackers and no outside analytics service. A name you try on the cover is kept only in your own browser for the visit, and is never sent to us.

We count visits ourselves, on our own server: the pages opened, the name of the site a visit came from, the type of device and browser, the country when it is known, and the steps of an order. No IP address is stored. To tell one visit from another within a day, the address and browser are combined with a random value that is replaced every day and then deleted, so we cannot recognise anyone from one day to the next. When a visit ends in an order, the two are linked so we can see which pages lead to a purchase. These counts are kept for up to 25 months. An order, or a place on the waitlist, also keeps where the visit that made it came from: the site or link it arrived by, the first page it opened, the country when it is known, and the type of device. These stay with the order or the waitlist entry, and go with it when it is deleted.

Like any website, our host keeps short technical records of visits, such as IP addresses, for a limited time to keep the site running and safe.

09Changes

When what we do with your details changes, this page changes with it, and so does the date at the top.
